Ironwood Trio (Eb, Bb, BC) (Jorge Montilla)

Commissioned by Leslie Moreau (Boise State University), Jana Starling (University of Western Ontario) and Anne Watson (Northeastern State University (OK)), this clarinet trio for Eb, Bb and BC is an uncompromising work by the well-known Venezuelan clarinetist/composer Montilla. All parts are challenging in this multi-section piece in an engaging contemporary/Latin style. C. 13 min.
